Jonathan currently serves as the President of the BYU Artificial Intelligence Association. He conceived the idea for the new student association after a summer internship at a firm utilizing AI to defend critical government supply chains from adversarial threats. With help from several faculty members in the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, he officially secured university approval for the charter of the BYU AIA in September of 2023. Jonathan is mainly interested in using artificial intelligence to leverage existing data to drive meaningful innovation. He has long-term interests in improving and expanding access to childhood education.
