AI in Research

AI in Research is part of the BYU AI Association for students who do research at BYU. Every Thursday night we get together to learn AI tools for research, see how other labs are using AI, and hear from people who use it in their work.

Weekly Content Includes:

  • Training: Hands-on sessions with AI tools for research, such as coding agents, making figures, literature search, and turning research data into a draft paper.
  • Lab Presentations: Students from different labs show how they use AI in their research.
  • Discussion: Topics like the strengths and limits of different AI models, research ethics, data privacy, and AI and the gospel.
  • Guest Speakers: Faculty, PhD students, and professionals who use AI in their work.
